The top image from Appley Hoare Antiques
is a Swedish Gustavian 18th century secretaire, and it reminded me of a
funny story from a few years ago. A friend had moved back to the U.S.
from Malmö, and had left us in charge of his belongings in storage.
When the time came to ship everything over to him, we started emailing
back and forth with the (Swedish) storage/removal company. When
everything was almost finished we received an email asking if we also
wanted the secretary shipped. We duly forwarded the query on and our
long-time single friend quickly confirmed that he would indeed like the
secretary shipped and wouldn't mind his desk shipped as well!

I used to love visiting Appley Hoare Antiques when the mother/daughter team were still in Sydney.I LOVED it.very sad when they moved to London.Sigh. That is the actress from Hustle. She's been in some US tv lately too.Lovely lingerie : ) xx
